Most rain in April

This month is the wettest April on record. A total of 537.1mm of rain had been recorded by 10pm with two days still left in a month that averages 161.5mm.


The amber rainstorm signal was hoisted at 3.35pm yesterday when the amount of rainfall recorded was more than 50mm for the day. Senior scientific officer Cheng Cho-ming said the heaviest rain was in the western New Territories.
