Soccer match publicity distasteful

I was horrified the other night while watching ATV World to see the trailer for the UEFA Cup final. It looked more like an advertisement for news coverage of a war zone. I believe that the gist of the trailer was a shot of a Leeds United fan bleeding to death on an Istanbul pavement. The trailer then flashes to the scene of two coffins being flown back to England. The voice over stated: 'Last time England and Turkey met, this happened. They meet again on Wednesday.' I find this kind of sensationalism disgusting, it is almost inviting viewers to watch the game in order to view crowd violence.

There was no mention of the actual soccer that saw Arsenal and Galatasaray playing each other in this week's finals in Copenhagen. No goals, only the stabbing incident which shocked the world. This was a sad day in world football and should not have been used to hype the UEFA Cup. I feel that ATV have been utterly insensitive.
