School celebrates 15th anniversary with special staff-student relay

Students of CMA Choi Cheung Kok Secondary School took part in the school's annual sports meet at Tin Shui Wai Sports Ground.

Because of the bad weather, the athletic championships were held over two days.

Fortitude House and Diligence House lived up to their reputation, showing their prize- winning capabilities to the distinguished visitors and the vast crowd assembled.

Sincerity and Diligence did well, but not well enough to remove Trust House from the top spot.

To celebrate the school's 15th anniversary a special staff and student race was held. Teams of more than 10 ran a random relay over 1,500 metres. Both the participants and the spectators found great fun to amuse themselves during the race, which proved to be one of the highlights of the day.

The important factor in the two days of competition was the healthy enjoyment of sport, keeping in mind the saying 'a healthy mind in a healthy body'.

This was brought out in the closing address, by Eddie Lu, vice-president of the Chinese Manufacturers' Association, which had established the school.

Mr Lu advised the students to carry the lessons learned at sport into their school life, especially the dedication and hard work required to excel in whatever work one did.
