THE Governor of the holiday state of Hawaii was in town yesterday (which might explain why the folks at the US Consulate were having the day off) presumably to spread a bit of aloha with his entourage of three.

But we trust that during his brief Hongkong sojourn one of his aides was always on hand manning the telephone for him. For had the good governor attempted the task himself it might have caused untold confusion.

His name, as it happens, is Mr WAIHEE!
