More than $100,000 was raised for the Little Sisters of the Poor, a home for the aged in Aberdeen, at a lavish luncheon and charity cooking class at Nicholini's restaurant in the Conrad Hotel. Organised by Susan Elman, Elizabeth Pouliot and Kajsa Fung, the event coincided with Nicholini's 10th anniversary. After a cooking demonstration by chef Giovanni Greggio, guests settled down to warm lobster salad, spaghetti vongole and veal shank with porcini mushrooms. Clockwise from bottom left: Karen Hansen, Eleni Wang and Kajsa Fung; Balbina Wong, Shirley Wong and Beth Narain; GiGi Yiu, Nora Leung and Susan Elman; Anky Auw, Linda Lau and Tina Viola; Nigel Sze, Bernard Pouliot and Linda Sze.
