School life ends on a high note for graduates
Parents and students gathered to celebrate the graduation of Form Five and Seven students from Sai Kung Sung Tsun Catholic Secondary School.
Principal Chan Shun-ching thanked teachers, students and parents for their hard work and contributions to the success of the school. He said especially encouraging was the Education Department's announcement that the school was one of the 44 Most Improved Secondary Schools.
Ms Chan said that quality teaching and whole-person education were always the focus of the school. Students were reminded of the importance of exploring the world outside the classroom.
Guest-of-honour Reverend Dominic Chan emphasised the significance of life-long learning.
He stressed the importance of honesty and said he hoped that graduates would be always truthful in their work and study.
The rather solemn ceremony ended on a high note with performances by students. A lively jazz dance was followed by the school choir and a piece on the Chinese flute.
The school band provided a rollicking finale.
