I refer to the report headlined, 'Banks urged to ensure ATMs fake free' (Sunday Morning Post, July 16), regarding counterfeit currency, which requires clarification.

You said, 'Recent forged notes, mostly $1,000 and $500 notes, have been found to be '85 per cent perfect' by police.' Hong Kong police have never made this claim.
