A former director of education won the Outstanding Fundraiser Award and a round- trip air-ticket for two to Japan in the Dress Sporty Day campaign.

Helen Yu Lai Ching-ping, head of the Taskforce on Building Safety and Preventive Maintenance, Planning and Lands Bureau, was honoured with the Outstanding Fundraiser Award at a ceremony held at the Sports Institute.

'I am a regular supporter of such activities,' said Ms Yu. 'The award is a surprise for me. I sincerely hope more and more Hong Kong people will back this campaign.'

Pansy Lam, finance director and general manager of Leigh and Organe, won the Outstanding Sporty Look award. She won a round-trip air-ticket for two to Singapore. 'Dress Sporty Day gives us a chance to demonstrate our creativity in designing our clothes on various themes. It makes you feel sporty and energetic,' she said.

The Outstanding Fundraising Organisation award was won by St Paul's Secondary School, Cable and Wireless HKT, the Hospital Authority and the Hong Kong Gateball Association, whose efforts at raising the biggest donations in their own categories were rewarded.
