Disappearing bugs
I refer to your reader E. Wong's letter headlined, 'Surprised by large cockroach invasion' (South China Morning Post, July 19), regarding cockroaches seen inside the washroom of Tin Shui Wai Park tennis courts.
We have made a thorough investigation, but could not trace the source of the cockroaches as mentioned.
They might have flown in when the weather changed suddenly.
Nevertheless, we have immediately carried out a clean-up and disinfection operation inside the washroom and the surrounding areas. We have also stepped up the frequency of cleaning to avoid a recurrence of the incident.
We will endeavour to maintain the cleanliness of our pleasure grounds to a high standard and we apologise for the unpleasant experience which your reader encountered.
