SIX rounds of tear-gas were fired into a flat in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday by Special Duties Unit (SDU) officers during a raid for a gunman wanted for attempting to shoot at two police officers three months ago. Two men, aged 27 and 43, were arrested after putting up ''slight resistance'' and were held for further questioning last night after the SDU and Kowloon East Regional Crime Unit operation. Police found a loaded pistol inside the premises about 9.30 pm after taking the suspects back to the flat.
The 43-year-old man, surnamed Tse, is wanted in connection with an incident in Hammer Hill Road, Wong Tai Sin, on March 2 when a man tried to fire two shots at vice squad detectives who had laid an ambush for a drug deal.
