THE Kowloon Motor Bus Company is to pay an extra $122.3 million annually in a June salary rise of 10.5 per cent for about 8,990 staff in the traffic and service departments. The monthly take home pay for double decker bus captains will go up to between $9,550 and $11,660. Medium air-conditioned single decker drivers will take home $7,100.

The pay rise was agreed after negotiations between KMB and representatives of the Motor Transport Workers General Union KMB Branch, and the Kowloon Motor Bus Workers General Union.
