Ramada Franchise Systems will provide high-speed Internet access at more than 1,000 hotels across the US. The technology marks the introduction of a new standard amenity to meet the needs of the business traveller. The fee for the service is US$9.95 per 24-hour period for unrestricted access.

Frontier Airlines has a Travel America Sale with discounted fares to all destinations in its route system, including fares as low as US$59 one-way, based on a round-trip buy, for travel from Denver to Kansas City. Sale fares are based on a 14-day advance purchase for off-peak travel. Tickets must be purchased by August 31 and paid for within 24 hours of booking. Travel is valid from August 31 until midnight on February 14, 2001. Seats are limited.
