One big greenhouse
Sir Norman Foster was very well paid for designing Chek Lap Kok, and his basic concept was to bring the majesty of sea and mountains right into the terminal.
This has been completely wasted, because scarcely one pane of glass in the entire building is flat. Most are distorted, so that Lantau's beautiful mountains look like something out of a fairground 'funny mirrors' show, and make one feel seasick.
May I, through these columns, ask the Airport Authority which company supplied and fitted this glass, what action is being taken to rectify it and when will our airport look like a serious world-class facility?
At present it looks like a home-made greenhouse.
