Man denies drug charges

A 23-YEAR-OLD man denied three counts of trafficking in more than 570 grams of the drug ''ice'' and 1.6 kilograms of cannabis in the High Court yesterday.


Frederick Leung Yau-sang is on trial before Deputy Judge Chan and a jury.


Senior Crown Counsel Philip Cantrill said Leung was seen leaving a Shamshuipo building in July last year. About 50 grams of ''ice'' were found in cigarette packets in his pocket.


Police then searched a flat opened by keys found on Leung and discovered another 520 grams of ''ice'' and the cannabis, the jury was told.


The hearing continues today.
