The public can support Hong Kong's athletes in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sydney through the Hang Seng Olympic e-Wish Campaign and get the chance to win fabulous prizes.

The Web site at medals. hangseng.com invites people to pledge their support for athletes by sending them messages of encouragement through the Internet.

Government and sports officials, celebrities and retired athletes have also extended their best wishes to the delegation on the Web site.

The site includes stories on Hong Kong's athletes on their road to sporting success and competition schedules and Games updates.

Athletes will also share their experiences on the site.

To arouse public interest, prizes worth $50,000 are on offer to Web surfers who enter the on-line quizzes and games, including one WAP phone per week (a total of 10 sets).

Olympic gold medallist Lee Lai-shan is determined to give another fine performance in Sydney. 'I know it's always difficult to compete in the Olympics but I'll go all out in every race and perform my best,' Lee said.

Fung Ying-ki, double gold medallist at the 1998 World Wheelchair Fencing Championships, is excited about his debut in the Paralympics.

'I am determined to win medals. I shall improve myself and bring my skill to new heights,' Fung said.
