Acquisition fails at boardroom

China Internet Global Alliance, formerly known as investment holding company China Strategic, announced that its HK$533 million plan to acquire certain stakes in the Malaysian Kuok family private companies has lapsed due to it being unable to obtain consent from the target companies' boards of directors.
