Man of the moment Riccardo Tisci's dark, sensual designs for Givenchy come straight from the heart, writes Jing Zhang.
There will be a series of celebration activities on October 1 to mark National Day. At 8 am, there will be the usual flag raising ceremony at the Bauhinia Square outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre,Wan Chai.
Chief Executive Tung Chee- hwa, and about 600 guests will attend the ceremony.
In the afternoon, there will be a celebratory show organised by the Association of Compatriots in Hong Kong for Celebration of the National Day of the People's Republic of China at the Hong Kong Coliseum, Hunghom at 4 pm.
The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, local artistes, community organisations and members of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Forces Hong Kong will perform. Free tickets for the show are available at the Public Inquiry Service Centre of all district offices.
A 23-minute public fireworks display in Victoria Harbour will commence at 8 pm.
