OK, so they don't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize and haven't any real skills to speak of - aside from slinking down the runway and smoking serious quantities of cigarettes - but where would the world be without Gisele (left), Carmen (below), Maggie, Frankie, Angela et al?

At last week's VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards in New York, Estonian-born beauty Carmen Kass overcame stiff competition to win Model of the Year honours. Still, as she was giving her acceptance speech one couldn't help but wonder: What's with the sleeve? Et tu, Gisele?
