Group 'disrespectful'

The burning of a portrait of President Jiang Zemin on Saturday by April 5th Action Group members was 'most inappropriate and disrespectful', a government spokesman said. 'The President represents the dignity of the country. As Chinese people, we should respect our country,' he said. The group burned the portrait in protest at Mr Jiang's tirade against the media.
