To meet the increasing local demand for well-trained human resource professionals, the Baptist University of Hong Kong has introduced a continuing education diploma programme in human resource management.

The first intake of students was in the spring of last year for these part-time courses, which are taught primarily in Cantonese.

This diploma programme is in five modules, each consisting of two subjects, which are offered over three terms per year during the spring, summer and autumn.

Subjects covered in the course include human resource manage ment, managerial skills at work, employment procedures, employee communications, compensation management and practice, performance management, management information systems, legal aspects of human resource management, human resource development and training administration, and employee relations.
