TAIWANESE police are investigating fake passports syndicates active in Hongkong and Thailand, following the Hongkong Immigration Department's recent seizure of 22 fake Taiwanese passports and the arrest of 15 young illegal immigrants from China. The immigrants, aged between six and 16, were caught last month when they were about to fly to the United States, Japan and Europe. Among the nine boys and six girls, seven held two passports each. Four had been modified from genuine passports.
