Japanese historian Saburo Ienaga has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Hong Kong-based human rights activists, academics and legislator Albert Ho Chun-yan. The nomination letter to the Nobel committee said Professor Ienaga, 87, 'has devoted a large part of his life to ensuring that the truth about what happened in Asia in the Second World War is known and remembered in his native Japan'.
