Eleven hurt in collision

Updated at 3.58pm: Ten elderly coach passengers and a lorry driver were injured after their vehicles collided near the Western Harbour Crossing on Friday.

The two were approaching the tunnel on the Kowloon side around 10.30am, police said. The lorry tried to change lane and overtake the coach just in front of the toll booths and the vehicles crashed.

The lorry driver sustained a minor head injury. Two men and eight women, aged 71-84, also got minor injuries.

They were all sent to Queen Elizabeth hospital.

''The drivers have gone through breathing tests and zero readings were recorded,'' a police spokesman said.

By 3pm, 5 of the injured have been discharged and 6 remained under observation.
