A FORMER bank manager will be flown today to the United States to answer a charge of embezzling US$350,000 (about HK$2.73 million) from her employers.

Karen Fei Kwong is alleged to have embezzled the money between September 1989 and April this year while branch manager of a Los Angeles bank.

Kwong, 37, agreed yesterday to return to the US when she appeared at Eastern Court.

Magistrate Michael Hill remanded Kwong in custody until she could be handed over to marshals to escort her to the US.
