Duty-free mega store to open in Shanghai

China's largest duty-free store is to open in Shanghai next month, and the first floor of Shanghai Stadium has been chosen as the ideal place, the Jiefang Daily reported yesterday. According to China Duty-Free Group, the store has a total area of 3,000 square metres, and three groups, including China Duty-Free Group, Jingjiang Group and Pudong Real Estate Group, are investors. Buyers should show passports and airline tickets to foreign countries to be allowed to purchase duty-free famous-brand goods. The store will mainly sell cosmetics, leather goods and foreign nameplate merchandise. Cigarettes and wines are not on its sales list.
