SCMP.com's new award

The South China Morning Post group's online publishing operation has won another prestigious international award.

The US-based Editor and Publisher organisation named SCMP.com as one of the three best international newspaper sites at a ceremony in Dallas.

It is the third consecutive year that SCMP.com has been included among the top three sites in a competition that included entrants from many English language news organisations worldwide.

Other finalists in the contest for best overall non-US newspaper online service were the Financial Times, FT.com and the Jerusalem Post.

FT.com won against what organisers described as very tough competition.
