Take a bus instead of driving

EVERY Sunday afternoon I am annoyed when I travel into Central from South Bay where I live.

The traffic on South Bay is really heavy on weekend afternoons. Vehicles are reduced to a slow crawl.

A week last Sunday, it took me more than an hour to go from South Bay to Repulse Bay, which usually takes only about five minutes by car and 15 minutes when I'm walking.

I know how much people want to spend their spare time on the beach on sunny weekends, however, I don't think the crowded, polluted beach is worth going to, if they have to spend so much time in a traffic jam.

This wastes their time and also the time of those who live in South Bay and have to put up with this inconvenience for two days each week.

I would suggest that more people should use public transport.

There is a bus to Central every 10 minutes and for those who live in North Point, there's a bus every 30 minutes. It would save drivers having to hunt for a parking space and wasting time in congested traffic.
