Strip of government land in filthy state

I am writing on behalf of the residents of Tai Tam Garden, situated at No 11 Tai Tam Road, regarding the state of a piece of abandoned land near our building.

This piece of land near the entrance of Tai Tam Garden is government property and is enclosed by an iron fence. We are concerned about the unhygienic condition of this land.

It contains a lot of refuse, and we have already seen rats.

Summer is fast approaching, and during the hot and rainy season, the problem of pests such as mosquitoes will get worse.

We would be willing to clean up the mess ourselves, but as it is government property, we would be breaking the law by going on it to do the necessary work.

We have been asking the Government for help since last September but have had no response.

We appeal to the relevant government department to look into this matter and resolve it before the heat and humidity of summer overtake us.
