A middle-aged woman and an elderly man suffered cuts yesterday morning in two separate robberies believed to be committed by the same bicycle-riding suspect.

At about 6.20am, a woman, 50, walking along Hong Ning Road, Yuen Long, was intercepted, threatened with a cutter and told to hand over her bag and wallet. The man fled without the bag after the woman resisted but she suffered cuts in the scuffle. Two hours later, a man, 66, was robbed by a man on a bicycle in Fung Chi Village. He suffered a facial injury and was robbed of $1,500.
