Name: Johanna Ho
Occupation: Fashion designer
Although she grew up in Hong Kong, Johanna Ho never intended to stay here. But one year, while she was here visiting family on holiday from London's Central St Martin's College, the ubiquitous 'Made in Hong Kong' label made the-then student realise it is the most logical place to base a fashion house. 'There is so much fashion potential in Hong Kong, with manufacturers, factories and traditional Shanghainese tailoring,' she says. As well as being sold here from her Queen's Road Central studio, Ho's collections (called simply Johanna Ho) are carried by luxury department stores in Tokyo, London and the United States. She is currently creating designs for her sixth season.
