Lufthansa SAR bonus
Lufthansa is offering bonus miles to passengers on its new Hong Kong-Munich route until June 15. In addition to the normal miles, 5,000 bonus miles will be awarded for a round-trip flight in economy class, 12,000 for two round trips and 20,000 for three round trips. First- and business-class passengers will earn up to 10,000 for the first round trip, 24,000 for two and 40,000 for three. The airline offers a day room at the five-star Kempinski Hotel in Munich for free to first-class passengers and at a discount to business-class passengers.
Bulgaria looks again to the skies
Bulgaria's grounded flag carrier Balkan Airlines hopes to resume regular flights to London from May 2, using its only plane, a Tupolev-154. It plans to offer six flights a week. It also plans to resume flights to Dubai from May 19.
Introductory Delta deals
Delta Air Lines is offering special introductory fares on its new routes to Cairo and Dubai. The round-trip fares to Cairo start from US$760, and US$860 to Dubai. Bookings must be made on the airline's Web site. Delta will offer services three times per week to Cairo and Dubai from New York. Travel on the special fares must start between June 16 and September 29 and be completed by October 29. Tickets must be purchased by May 7. Conditions apply.
