Outcry over HK parents' foster plan

A Hong Kong couple is under investigation after putting their child up for foster care in Vancouver so he could receive a Canadian education while they worked in the SAR.

The eight-year-old boy was registered by his parents, both Canadian citizens, with a foster-placement agency, which was deluged with angry calls after placing an advertisement. The case was brought to the Canadian Government's attention by a caller who said the parents planned to abandon the child.
