FOLLOWING a near doubling of the share price of construction group Chee Shing Holdings over the past two trading days, the board has revealed that the chairman has received an approach for his holding in the company together with that of his associates.

Chee Shing's share price soared from $1.31 on Wednesday to close yesterday at $2.575, having reached a high of $2.80 at one point in the day.

Negotiations, which may or may not lead to a full offer for the company, are said to be at a preliminary stage.
