Early-morning angst

After calling 1081 on Thursday at around 7am and going through the Herculean task of simply trying to find out what number in Hong Kong to call to obtain the phone number of a company in Los Angeles, I managed to finally get through to the operator (all the lines were busy), but not before pressing the multiple choice keys and listening to a whole heap of instructions. Not exactly a fun thing to do at 7am. After then being told to dial 10015 to find out the phone number of the company in LA, I was informed that I would be charged for this 'service'. Nodding off by now, I said fine and dialled the given number only to find out that after all this, the LA number had been changed.

And Pacific Century CyberWorks is charging me for this information? If this is the type of 'service' and runaround that the company is providing customers, it's little wonder that people are dumping shares in it. The company seems to be moving with all the dynamism and forward-thinking associated with a snail carrying the weight of the world on its shoulders.
