Bus companies have turned down volume

I refer to the letter from Catherine Ng concerning the noise level of video broadcasting on buses (South China Morning Post, April 10).

In response to complaints about the noise level of video broadcasting on buses, the Transport Department asked the bus companies to lower the volume. They have informed us that given the concerns expressed by passengers, the volume has been lowered.

In addition, the bus companies are required to continue collecting passengers' opinions on the subject, take into account these views, and to make appropriate adjustments in order to meet the needs of their customers.
