Memorable outing at Ocean Park

Marymount Secondary School and its Parent-Teacher Association (MSS-PTA) have become the first school and PTA in Hong Kong to charter Ocean Park for their activities.

Organised by the third executive committee of the MSS-PTA, it was a fun-filled event for parents, teachers and students of both the secondary and primary schools.

The outing took place in the evening and the school had the entire use of the Park after 6 pm. There were some hard negotiations between the PTA Committee and the Ocean Park management regarding the fees. Parents, student and teachers, numbering over 2,000, attended the outing.

For the participants, it was a night to re member. Ocean Park was filled with laughter and shrikes of delight from students as they rode on the cable cars and entertainment rides.

Many of the park's attractions including the popular Panda enclosures, the shark aquarium and the atoll reef, remained open till 7 pm.

The highlight of the evening's activities took place at the Ocean Theatre with the dolphin performance followed by a lucky draw. There were 15 grand prizes and 146 consolation prizes.

This was followed by an exchange of souvenirs between the school and Ocean Park.
