You can take a culinary journey to one of the most beautiful regions of Italy by heading to the Kowloon Hotel, where the cuisine of Veneto is being featured at The Pizzeria restaurant. Until June 30, guests can taste the specialities in dishes such as trout galantine filled with spinach on yoghurt sauce with salmon eggs and mantis shrimp, risotto with radicchio and salsiccia, deep-fried carp with crab omelette on green olive lemon sauce, roast baby rack of lamb loin with white wine vegetable sauce, and Verona-style pear cake with passion fruit sauce. Over at the Grand Stanford Inter-Continental, Leung Fai-hung, chef of Hoi King Heen, is showcasing home-style Shunde specialities from today (June 1) until June 30. Dishes include sauteed diced carp with water chestnuts, sweet corn and green chives, tossed shredded chicken with spring onion, ginger, pickled cucumber and radish, deep-fried minced carp coated with crispy chicken skin, and braised sliced pork with honey soy sauce. For spicier Chinese regional cuisine, head to Yunyan Szechuan Restaurant in the Miramar Shopping Centre. The new summer menu features lighter dishes, such as braised shredded fish and melon threads, steamed fresh abalone with preserved mixed chillies, braised frogs with garlic bulbs in chilli broth, and sauteed julienned pig's ears with green and red peppers.
