Bomb mix-up

I refer to the report headlined 'Bombs and machetes found in abandoned vehicle' (South China Morning Post, June 14).

The caption under the picture accompanying the story was incorrect. The bombs shown in the photograph, believed to be of World War II vintage, were found on June 13 outside Police Dog Unit grounds in Fanling. They were not the two modified fish bombs found along with the home-made knives in an abandoned car in Lok Ma Chau, as suggested in the caption.
