Composer wins prize

A Hong Kong composer has won second place in a prestigious music event in Paris. Chan Ming-chi, 39, was awarded the prize in the International Rostrum of Composers, held by the United Nations' Educational, Science and Cultural Organisation, for his composition Ji Qi Shen. First prize went to a Finnish composer.
