Wall a hoarding
I refer to the letter headlined 'Wall hazard' (South China Morning Post, May 15) concerning the temporary wall in Barker Road obstructing traffic.
This 'wall' is actually a hoarding required to protect the public from slope works being undertaken for a building development. The temporary traffic arrangement was agreed by the Transport Department and police. We have reminded the person responsible for this hoarding to pay more attention to safety and traffic arrangements so as to minimise disruption.
