Who should give way?

May I, through these columns, ask the Commissioner for Transport to explain to motorists who frequently use Peak Road how we are to understand the newly-installed 'give way' markings on the downward section of Peak Road at its intersection with Magazine Gap Road?

In the past, this was the dominant road, and traffic approaching from Lower Peak Road (or Coombe Road) gave way. Now, it seems everyone has a 'give way' sign on the roadway. To whom should we give way, when on the downhill lane? As it stands, we are sitting in our cars, scratching our heads, not at all sure who should proceed.

May we have clarification?
