In our Today in History column on July 10, the South China Morning Post incorrectly reported that Elsie Elliott (now Mrs Elsie Tu) was three hours late for a forum and dinner held in her honour in London on July 10, 1966, because she had been given inaccurate information about the schedule.

The meeting, at which Mrs Tu was to report to the United Nations Association about a trip to London, was in fact held at Hong Kong's City Hall Restaurant. The Post regrets any inconvenience this mistake may have caused.
