A number of specials are available at hotels in India. The Ashok Hotel New Delhi has a stopover package from US$90 per night, including transfers from the airport to the hotel and other amenities. The Hotel Janpath has a summer stopover special from US$65 per night, including transfers and other benefits. The Maidens Hotel, part of the Oberoi Hotels group, also has two nights and three days at 4,444 rupees (about HK$736). Members of Aeroplan, Air Canada's frequent flyer programme, can now earn airline miles for staying at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Summerfield Suites by Wyndham properties. To mark the new partnership, Aeroplan members who stay at any participating Wyndham property until September 30 and pay a qualifying rate will receive up to 2,500 Aeroplan miles. Until September 30, guests paying a qualifying rate at any Wyndham Hotels & Resorts property will receive 1,500 miles per stay. Summerfield Suites guests will receive 1,500 miles for a stay of one to four nights, 2,000 miles per stay for five to 29 nights and 2,500 miles per stay for 30 or more nights.


Marriott magazine


Marriott International plans to launch Marriott Insights, a new guest room magazine available this autumn at seven of the company's lodging brands. It will be an advertising-supported 80-page, monthly full-colour magazine featuring editorial content from publications including Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Fortune, Golf Digest, PC Magazine, Shape and Motor Trend.


Extra flights


Frontier Airlines will offer daily flight services to seven regional markets from its Denver hub as part of the airline's codeshare agreement with Great Lakes Aviation. The codeshare agreement includes Casper, Cody, Gillette and Cheyenne in Wyoming; Amarillo in Texas; Santa Fe in New Mexico; and Hayden in Colorado. The agreement will ultimately expand Frontier's service into 37 small- to mid-sized markets now served by Great Lakes throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona and Texas.


Handy programme


Hotel Palomar in San Francisco offers a special amenity programme designed to meet a woman's last-minute needs. On request, the programme delivers items most often left at home by women travellers. Some of the personalised amenities offered include stockings or pantyhose, lint roller, tweezers, razor, fingernail file, nail polish remover, earring backs and nail polish in a various colours, hairspray and curling iron.


Global trip


Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways are offering a Round the World airfare for US$1,499, valid for departures from August 15 to November 15 this year. The ticket allows travel for seven to 30 days on numerous combinations of flights offered by the carriers, with stopovers in destinations such as London, Cape Town and Delhi.
