Tyranny of our pro-am educators

An excessive amount of radical changes have brought in to or proposed for the local education system since last year. These have brought much unrest and distress to parents whose children will be affected by the impending or planned reforms. Unfortunately, many parents are incapable of doing anything to influence these changes, which were formulated by amateur educationalists (in the Education Commission) or professional educationalists (in the Education Department) who believe they have the best vision into our education system but, in fact, do not.

Many overseas education systems have been developed and shaped through many years of hard work, bitter experience, and studying and extracting the essence of the work of neighbours. I am afraid many of our educationalists, both amateur and professional, have not given this any consideration.

For those who can't afford to send their children elsewhere for better education, what choice do they have?
