A Hong Kong company claims it has not been paid since August 1998 for $6.5 million worth of goods supplied to a West African firm. Alleging that the consignee had no more than $52,000 in paid-up capital, the Hong Kong firm is suing for the millions plus interest.

In a High Court writ filed yesterday, Erba Far East Ltd says Aguemon Sadikou approached it in June 1998 to buy goods for Societe Omo Oche Kparo Sarl, incorporated in Benin.
