Consumers warned not to eat tainted Ambrosia custard

Consumers have been warned not to eat a batch of Ambrosia packet custard, which may carry potentially fatal botulism bacteria, following a recall of the product from Oliver's Delicatessen yesterday.

The manufacturer, Unilever Bestfoods in Britain, recalled the product following the detection of the bacteria Clostridium butyricum in certain batches. The 500 gram packs carry the item code 2750 and lot number Q1 and were sold at Oliver's.
