Today, the Hong Kong Marrow Match Foundation is holding a donor campaign, which it is hoped will help prize-winning pianist Janice Tang Wai-yi.

Ms Tang who has leukaemia and needs a bone marrow transplant, is in intensive care at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The insurance company AXA China Region has been supporting the Marrow Match Foundation since 1997, by offering a $1 million term life policy for one year to every marrow donor.

We appeal to potential donors to come to Plaza Hollywood, Diamond Hill, today, between 2pm and 10pm.

There will be doctors and nurses on site to help out and readers should realise that these are simple blood tests.
