US foreign policy seriously flawed

The attacks in New York and Washington on September 11, were tragic, with thousands of innocent people dying. And I agree that America should bring these terrorists to justice.

However, even though I understand the anger felt by the United States over these events and think it is natural that Washington wants revenge, I have to ask myself why these attacks took place in the US. Why not in France, Spain, or another country?

Perhaps the US should reassess its foreign policy and learn not to interfere so much in the internal affairs of other nations.

Also, whatever response America decides on, it should not act unilaterally. It should not appear to be autocratic, but must seek advice from the United Nations.

If it did act on its own, this would only result in even more countries turning against America.
