Audience all at sea in Ocean Park

I lived in Hong Kong from 1989 to 1994 and I used to enjoy visiting Ocean Park and Water World with my classmates.

I still visit the city and on a recent trip went back to Ocean Park. I enjoyed all the world-class facilities, such as the roller-coaster, the cable car and the Abyss.

However, the shows that I watched were not as good and would not encourage people to make a return trip. They were not interactive, so there was no audience participation. Only Cantonese was used, with a sporadic English translation.

I think full English and Mandarin translations should be used for all shows. As Ocean Park is targeting mainlanders and overseas visitors, the addition of these two languages would make the shows livelier and more popular. Management should also advertise their facilities overseas.

Ocean Park has the potential to succeed. I would hate to see it fail to fulfil its potential.
