Take care over quizzes

I read with interest the letter headlined 'Quiz show plea' (South China Morning Post, October 10) I am pleased to be a refugee from Anne Robinson and Chris Tarrant and their programmes, two personalities who have dominated British television with The Weakest Link and Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

For me, it has been a relief to get away from Anne Robinson's grating voice, spiteful comments, mispronunciations and that awful wink. All I would say to prospective - and dare I say hopeful - viewers is: be sure you will find it entertaining before you flood Hong Kong television with programmes like this.
